Winged Horse of the Apocalypse- Angle 4

I like this angle. Unfortunately I wish the details could have come out more clearly. Oh well.

Materials: Wire, wax, string, human hair. (my own)

Daily Deviation

Given 2009-01-29

WHotA Angle 4 by ~DragonSpark is a macabre parody of horse, the empty eye sockets, mangy hair (what little of it remains around the rotting frame) and especially the lack of any eyes really pulls the sculpture forward. I especially like the incredible thin, drawn out quality and the use of wire and metal parts. (Featured by ^Thebuild)

oooh, again, you've created a piece that can change the whole mood just by the way you look at it...

this is absolutely breathtaking!

Thank you so much, for all the comments!
I really wish dA had a function for sculpture where you could put multiple angle shots into one deviation....it's really annoying with 4 different deviations!

yeah, you have to work around some of da's limitations.

Well, it would be possible to make it a really large animated gif, or possibly resize all the photos into a single piece.

Of course I think they each one should be treated as an individual piece, because each one has it's own unique feeling, despite the fact it's the same sculpture.

but that's just me, you do what works for you, and we'll keep loving it.

Thanks so much! That would be a good idea but you couldn't see much detail plus I'm not very skilled at computer editting and whatnot =P

What's mildly disturbing, is that this looks like a partially-mummified corpse.

I love it! You've done a seriously great job on it.
