Artist's Comments

Oh, what to say about this piece! It is by far my favorite sculpture so far, and I have decided to sell it to a buyer who will put it in his gallery and appreciate it. It's going to be hard to let it go though.

Materials:
Wax, Wire, String, Hair (my own, before anyone asks. Oh, the sacrifices I make for my art...)

Throughout it's construction this piece has acquired many nicknames and titles, such as Skeletal Pegasus, Zombie Horse, Horse of the Apocalypse, Thestral, and the Grim Reaper's Horse. So I kind of made a combination of some ideas for the title, but it's probably subject to change. I was even thinking "Bearer of Bad News" or "Winged Death." Now I find it's taken on a reference to Durer's "The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse."

UPDATE:
I waited too long to call the man back who wanted to buy this piece, and I lost the chance. :( I'm in Syracuse University right now, and it's back home.

And so everyone can stop asking me, it's about 1 1/2 feet in height and length. Not very big, I know. =P

Here are the links to the other 3 angles:

Uniquely crafted, Winged Horse of the Apocolypse looks quite unseely. ~DragonSpark has made one horse I wouldn't want to ride. (Suggested by =scenceable and Featured by ^oilsoaked)

If the mane and tail were firey, I'd say you could call it a nightmare... But regardless of what you call it, I LOVE it. And am saddened that I am not able to be the one to give it the kind of home it deserves. Awesome job!

O.O ZOMIGORSH! You're going to sell such a creation?
If I were you, I'd keep it forever, and treasure it!
But seeing as I'm not... I'd LOVE to buy it
If only I had money...

This account is DEAD!

definitely more detail on this angle, but i think the 2nd is a bit more dramatic as far as composition.

but, its beautiful no matter how you look at it.

Thanks! =D And I know, I'm sorry I kind of ditched the BWC. I just couldn't keep up with it anymore, dealing with college and whatnot...Did someone take over for me?

Yes, I am selling it, against the wishes of my parents, but I need to learn to sell my art. Plus the $500 I'm getting for it really helps =D

Setting the mane and tail alight would make for an awesome shot and a performance art piece. But then the wax would melt and it would be bad... =P
Thank you so much!
